Touriga Franca and Tinta Barroca form the backbone of this outstanding Vintage. Very good colour with strong tannins that will give this wine great aging potential.

Lovely sweet toffee, toasted peanut and black tea notes start this off, with warm brown bread, mulled currant and fig fruit flavors filling in behind. Shows some maturity through the finish, but this will hang around a bit longer.--1997 Vintage Port retrospective (January 2017). Drink now through 2030. 3,000 cases made.–JM
