Francois Thibault created Le Melon to celebrate and showcase the Cavaillon Melon from the South of France. The Melon, said to have been an inspiration for tastemakers over the course of history, has long been treasured for its honey-sweet flavor and smooth finish.
The rich Melon flavors found in Grey Goose Le Melon being with the treasured melons of Cavillon, France. The melons are picked in July and August, to best capture their signature flavor of wildflower honey. The delightfully scented, creamy orange flesh of the melon releases a sweet, fresh flavor.
The Cavaillon Melon has been cultivated in the region for generations. Kings are said to have traded royal treasure for a taste. Artists bartered their life's work and created masterpieces devoted to this extraordinary fruit.
Nose: Strong bouquet of freshly cut melon, subtle notes of melon rind, and hints of banana and pears.
Palate: Very bring, with strong overtones of juicy melon leading into lighter notes of white citrus and almond.
Finish: Silky and strong front notes of Cavaillon Melon and a finish of subtle almond and wheat.
