The 'Almost Major' Sterling Cellars tasting this past Saturday offered us a wonderful opportunity to introduce (or reintroduce) some of our favorite wines.

Some Important Changes
Many of you have come to appreciate the excellent Slovenian wines that have been available at Sterling Cellars (more variety than any other retailer in the nation) over the past decade. And, many of you have come to know Emil Gaspari, who has poured at many of our tastings and has introduced many of us to the quality of Slovenian wine. Sterling Cellars is pleased to announce that we have been able to greatly increase the number of Slovenian offerings at very attractive prices. All of the wines (and their discounted prices) are listed on the Slovenian Page of sterlingcellars.com and will be regularly updated. Many, but not all, of the wines will be available on the retail floor. However, all of the listed wines will be available for pick-up at Sterling Cellars, or for shipping, within a week. Brunello
The Smart Rating process (taking the major wine publications and averaging their vintage scores) has determined that the 2007 Brunello vintage is a 96. By any standard this qualifies the 2007s as a 'classic vintage'. And, Steve has been able to aquire a very strong sampling of these outstanding wines. American
Spirits Below you will a list of some of the finest of new 'artisanal' spirits. Steve has been adding these distilled products as they have become available to the market. You will notice that most of the list are whiskeys, but there is vodka, rum, and gin currently available. Remember that whiskey is the first 'American' spirit, and following the 'small batch' direction taken by so many winemakers, it is not surprising that distillers have followed the same model in producing 'small batch' whiskeys and Bourbons. THE Mondavi Reserve Offering!!! Steve
has a large collection of Mondavi Reserve Cabernet, and has decided
to make them available at very attractive prices in a variety
of unique combinations. All of the wines are in .750 ml, and we
list both the original and sale price. All of these offerings
are very limited and no other discounts may be applied. Virtually
all of these wines were acquired by Sterling Cellars and have
been stored since acquisition in a temperature and humidity controlled

The Discount Policy
Remember - There is a 12% Discount on any 12 Bottle purchase, and 20% Discount on a 24 bottle purchase from the Everyday Red and Everyday White Selections
SALE PRICES NOW EASY TO SPOT
Now, as you scan the more than 3000 items on the Sterling Cellars web site you will notice that those wines and spirits that have been discounted are much easier to identify. The original prices are crossed out and the discounted price is listed. The Checkout Page will list both the original and discounted price and your final charge will, of course, be based on the discounted price.
Looking for Finer Wines?
Sterling Cellars prides itself on offering the most competitive prices
on fine or unique wines. Fine and Unique is the term applied to wines
that are small production; highly allocated; or, of course, higher priced
items. Selections of Fine and Unique wines are generally entitled to
a discount of 8% on purchases of from 6 to 14 bottles;
15% on purchases of from 15 to 35 bottles; purchases
of 36 bottles or more are discounted at the discretion of management.
However, remember, a few wines are exceedingly rare and may not be subject
to any discount. Place your order through The Sterling Cellars secure
server and if necessary a member of the Sterling Cellars staff will
call or email to discuss discounts.

UNIQUE We have finally updated the New Arrivals. Steve was able to purchase some very unusual American Cabernets and Blends from the 1970s and 1980s. They are all listed on the New Arrivals page.All wines on the New Arrivals page are listed alphabetically. |
